Constipation and How to Relieve

Not until recently I have never thought of constipation as a serious issue. Honestly, constipationconstipation women is as serious as other diseases. People don’t usually take it serious because some “over the counter drugs” can easily relief the pain. However, it remains a major concern in many regions especially among people who depends solely on refined foods, and those whose foods devoid fiber.

If you refer to constipation as indigestion you are right, however we can define the term in a complex and more accurate way. When the intestinal muscle refuse to contract, or the contraction is too slow to enable bowel movement, then the situation is referred to as constipation. Fortunately, there are many ways to relieve constipation.

Probably you know that some drugs (laxatives) can relieve constipation without needing additional treatment. Yet, other effective means of relieving constipation do exist.

Can diet cause constipation?

What else would do if not diet? If your diet is lacking dietary fiber, you’re more likely to experience constipation than someone whose food is rich in fiber. Dietary fiber helps the bowel to retain water for proper digestion and enhance elimination of waste. Sadly, most people doesn’t include fiber in their diet. What could be the reason? Some people consider fruits and veggies as side dishes, so they barely include it in their diet. When you add fiber into your diet you are not only preventing constipation, but enhancing proper digestion and elimination of toxins. If you are not sure which food is rich in fiber, here are some foods you can add to your diet:

Black beans, lima beans, soybeans, pinto beans, kidney beans, and navy beans                     Split peas, green peas, avocado, broccoli, and lentils

                     Papaya and peaches

 Strawberries, oranges, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries

 Oatmeal, flax seeds, bran cereal, and brown rice, etc.

Additionally, you need to drink enough water daily. Proper hydration makes it possible for the intestine to contract and digest food with ease.

What if the large intestine/colon is overwhelmed?

Maybe you don’t understand what I mean. When the body is loaded with toxic chemicals and microbes, it sometimes become difficult for food to digest properly. Normally, waste products supposed to pass through the large intestine and discharged. However, when the microorganisms in large intestine absorb the water in the waste, it become hard and difficult to pass. The effect is waste buildup which also aggravate constipation condition.

What can be done to the colon to relief constipation?

The only thing that can help in this situation is colon cleanse. Without proper cleansing and detoxification, constipation may lead to more severe condition and pollute the blood. With colon cleanse the intestine will be free of toxins and beneficial microorganisms will thrive, thereby encouraging proper digestion and easy bowel movement.
